Jack E. Loftus, Sr., 69, of Chatham, died at 5:12 pm, Sunday, February 12, 2017 at his home. He was born April 24, 1947 in Springfield, to Donald J. and Oma Maxine Scott Loftus.
Survivors include two sons, Jack (Genei) Loftus, Jr. of Lenexa, KS and Scott (Richelle) Loftus of Sherman; four granddaughters, Elizabeth, Regan, Emily and Rylee; one sister, Karen “Jill” (Jim) Carr of Louisville, KY; three brothers, Jim (Guylia) Loftus, Dan (Bonnie) Loftus and Don (Robin) Loftus all of Springfield and several special nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jack is a graduate of Riverton High School, Class of 1965. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. Jack was a member of Knights of Columbus 4th Degree and Chatham VFW Post 4763.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield, with a prayer service at 4 pm with Reverend Allen Kemme officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Loftus
granddaughters’ education fund (whom he adored).
