SHERMAN – Imogene W. Pfeiffer, 85, of Sherman died at 2:09 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2009, at Heritage Manor Continue Care.
She was born Nov. 4, 1923, in Sherman, the daughter of Charles Orville and Noi Frances Dickerson Yocom. She married John Koenig in 1953; he preceded her in death in 1981. She then married Rheuna Pfeiffer in 1986; he preceded her in death in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Frances Hanson; and four brothers, Donald, Robert, Orville, and Lowell Yocom.
She is survived by a sister, Mary Catherine Cathy Marada-Boos (husband, Eugene) of Riverton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She had been a resident of Sherman since February 2004; prior to that she lived in New Port Richey, Fla. for 27 years, three years in Puyallup, Wash. and 30 years in Chicago.
Imogene was a secretary for the Auto Mechanics Union for 10 years and for an insurance company for three years. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace in New Port Richey, Fla., Calusa Cruise Club, Gulf Harbor Yacht Club, Eagles Club 3152, and many card clubs.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at St. James Church in Riverton, with the Rev. Joseph Ring officiating.
Burial will be at Wolf Creek Cemetery.

Hi Grandma Jean. I am sorry I didn't get to see you before you left. I will always remember you. You hold a special place in my heart. I will never forget the birthday and Christmas cards you continued to send me after Karlee was born. You were a wonderful women.
