Herbert H. Hoehn, 81, of Springfield, died at 12:50 am, Friday, March 18, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born March 25, 1929 in Springfield, Illinois to Harry and Christine Maxwell Hoehn. He married Norma J. Copi on May 26, 1951 and she preceded him in death on January 15, 2001. His parents and two brothers, James and Horace Hoehn also preceded him in death.
He is survived by one daughter, Pam Marie (Dave) Shanle of Sherman: one son, Ronald J. Hoehn of Texarkana, TX; Companion, Donna Brittin and Biscuit of Springfield; five grandchildren, Megan, Zach, Shane, Devon and Savannah; one brother, Howard (Mary) Hoehn of Sherman and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Herbert was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He attended Knox Presbyterian Church, was a member of (DPMA) Data Processing Management Association and past member of the ELKS.
After 36 years of service, he retired as a Field Manager for International Business Machines.
Visitation: 5-7 pm, Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 12 noon, Monday, March 21, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home, with Kathy Swaar, CLP officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery, where Sangamon County Interveterans Burial Detail will conduct Military honors.
