Helen Margaret Krueger

Helen M. Krueger was born in Gardner Township, Sangamon County on May 11, 1927. She was the daughter of Henry A. and Sarah (Duewer) Harms. Helen was baptized on May 11, 1927 at home by Pastor Photenhour and confirmed on August 10, 1941 by Rev. E.A. Dautenhan of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Helen married John H. Krueger on December 16, 1967 at Zion Lutheran Church, Pleasant Plains, IL by Pastor Rev. Royce Leckband. Their marriage was blessed with a daughter, Sarah Louise.

Helen worked for 23 years employed by Illinois National Casualty Ins Co. (New Hampshire Ins Group). She was a charter member of the Mary-Martha Guild, Zion Lutheran Church, Pleasant Plains Women’s Club, Pleasant Plains 50+, and former member of Beta Sigma Phi, Alpha Chapter.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, John H. Krueger; brother, Robert L. Harms; nephew, David A. Kessler; and her parents.

Helen’s memory will live on with her daughter, Sarah L. Dickinson (Robert); sister, Erma Kessler; and nieces, Libbie South and Marla Judge.

Visitation will be held at Staab Funeral Home of Springfield on Monday, August 15th from 4-6pm. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16th from 10-11am at Zion Lutheran Church of Pleasant Plains, with funeral services to begin at 11am. Interment will be held at Farmington Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Staab Funeral Homes.
