Helen Lucille (Buraski) Richardson, 89, of Springfield, peacefully passed away at 12:38 am on Monday, February 20, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Home. She was born July 10, 1927, in Riverton the daughter of Adam and Anna Helen (Sherman) Buraski. She married Lloyd Elwin “Stub” Richardson on October 28, 1950 at St. James Catholic Church in Riverton. He died on September 12, 2014.
Survivors include three children; Mike (Melissa) Richardson of Springfield, Pat (Keith) Hohimer of Oswego and Rai (Beth) Richardson of Springfield; nine grandchildren; Stacy (Andy) Kmett, Drew (Kara) Richardson, Gabrielle Richardson, Josh (Sherrie) Hohimer, Ann (Todd) Mann, Casey Richardson, Tess Richardson and Claire Richardson; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her sisters and brothers: Mary Margaret (Buraski) Trello, Martin Sherman Buraski, Bernice Leone (Buraski) Klunick, and Anthony Buraski, Sr.
Helen retired from Schnepp and Barnes Printing Company after forty years of service as a book binder. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
Visitation: 10:30 – 11:30 am, Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at St. Aloysius Church.
Funeral Mass: 11:30 am, Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at St. Aloysius Church with Reverend Clint Honkomp officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
