H. Jimmy Bauer, Jr., 57, of Springfield died at 9:40 am Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at his home. He was born on January 14, 1957 in Springfield to Herbert J. and Dorothy Jean Tobin Bauer, Sr. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert J. Bauer, Sr.; step-father, Eudell LeVeque; step-brother, Craig LeVeque and grandmother, Rosella Tobin.
Surviving are his mother, Dotty LeVeque of Springfield; step-brother, Todd (Michelle) LeVeque of Baltimore, OH; sister-in-law, Karen LeVeque of Schererville, IN and several nieces, nephews and cousins and his beloved dog Buffy.
He was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. He loved music and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Visitation: 9-10 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Reverend Zachary Edgar officiating. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date.
