I loved this lady when I was in 7th or 8th grade at St. Joseph. We were putting on a pretty outstanding play for the parents I believe at the end of the school year. I was playing the piano while some on stage danced and the rest of the class was singing. It was a very difficult piece for me to be playing the piano but my teacher helped me a ton get ready for this performance. During rehearsals Gwen treated me with kindness that I will never forget. I am pretty sure Gwen realized what a struggle it was for me to perform this piano piece which was way over my head. Let's just say the nun wasn't anywhere near as gracious. Our performance of that piece went off perfectly and I was convinced at the time that it was due to Gwen's presence working with all of us. Wow-97 1/2 is a long life. I am sure she will be missed by many. My condolences to the family. Sharon Schafer Kording
