Guido “Jim” Paoli, 95, of Springfield died at 5:45 am, Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Villa Healthcare East. He was born November 17, 1921 in Gross, KS to Emanuel and Assunta (Michelli) Paoli. He married Emma Mazzini in 1950 and she preceded him in death on September 9, 2001. Also preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers, Guerino, Mario and Carl Paoli.
Surviving are a sister, Olga Marr of Springfield and several nieces and nephews, including niece and caregiver, Julie Paoli-Duffy of Springfield.
Guido was a resident of Springfield most of his life. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in World War II. He was a self-employed machinist and was also owner of 709 Liquors.
Visitation: 10-11 am, Friday, December 9, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home, Springfield.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Friday, December 9, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home, Springfield
with Reverend Braden Maher officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
