Goldie Ferne Goodall, 89, of Springfield, IL, died at 7 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011. She was born November 27, 1922 in Buffalo, IL to William G. and Anna Boliard Merriman. She married Thomas Baugh and later married John Goodall on May 28, 1966 and they both preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, Morris Merriman and one sister, Daisy Fuhrwerk.
Survivors include her son, Glenn (companion: Lisa Harding) Baugh of Roby; one grandson, Josh (Katrina) Baugh of Springfield; two great grandchildren, Gavin and Tegan and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Goldie was of the Methodist faith. She was a former avid bowler and enjoyed playing BINGO. She also enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, spending time with her family and was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. Goldie worked at the Sangamo Ordinance Plant, Franklin Life Insurance Company, Illinois National Bank and retired from the State of Illinois Department of Public Aid as an Accountant.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Monday, January 2, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Tuesday, January 3, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Gifford officiating. Entombment will be at Oak Ridge Chapel Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League.
