SPRINGFIELD – Glenn Phillip Schultz Sr., 49, of Springfield died Saturday, October 10, 2009, at his home.
He was born in Springfield on March 2, 1960, the son of Mary Lou (Schultz) Lewis and Lee Patrick; both preceded him in death. He was grandson to Nora Jane Schultz, who also preceded him in death.
Glenn worked as a cook in Springfield and in Minneapolis for various restaurant chains. He was a soft-spoken man who dearly loved his family and adored all animals. He was an avid do-it-all maintenance man for various properties in the city. He attended North High School in Minneapolis.
Surviving are his four children, Brant Austin, Shatoiya (husband, James) Robinson, Glenn Junior Schultz Jr. and Ashlei Austin and their mother, Clemma Austin, all of Springfield. He has one sister and one brother, Mellenese Schultz and Kevin Watson, both of Minneapolis; nine grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
