SPRINGFIELD – Geraldine (Gerrie) Jaronske, 83, of Springfield died at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at Auburn Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 23, 1924, in Whiting, Ind., the daughter of William Riley and Lennie Bell Garrison Crenshaw. She married Sidney Jaronske on Jan. 10, 1946; he preceded her in death in 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Don Crenshaw Sr.
Mrs. Jaronske, a resident of Springfield since 1997, formerly of California and Arizona, was a homemaker and artist.
She was a member of the Southern Baptist faith. She loved horses and worked on working ranches, raised Arabian horses and had worked on Red Rock Ranch (Gene Autry’s ranch).
Surviving are three sons, Michael L. (wife, Carol) Jaronske of Paige, Ariz., Rex A. (wife, Jeannie) Jaronske of Springfield and Dale Scott (wife, Debbie) Jaronske of Wilcox, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Zena Sue Kirkpatrick and Clifton (wife, Pam) Callison, both of Lake Havasu, Ariz., and Jamie Bolden of Sante Fe, N.M.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at Staab Funeral with the Rev. Milton Bost officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at Pulliam Cemetery in Modesto.
