Gayle Mignon Henry

Gayle Mignon Henry, 100, of Springfield died at 9:00 p.m., Friday, August 4, 2017 at Concordia Village. She was born on April 18, 1917 to William F. and Blanche (Logue) Keeney in Terre Haute, IN. She married Dean E. Henry on April 10, 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 6, 2003.

Survivors include one nephew, Alan Barcus of Terre Haute, IN; one great nephew, Loren Barcus of Charlestown, MA; one great niece, Carey Thuente of Minneapolis, MN and dear friends, Terry Willis of Sherman and Barb Killian of Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Dorothy Montgomery; and one nephew, Walter Barcus.

Gayle was a Springfield resident since 1950 where she worked as a personnel assistant for the State of Illinois Department of Revenue before retiring in 1977.

Visitation: 10-10:45 a.m., Thursday, August 10, 2017 at St. Agnes Catholic Church.

Funeral Mass: 11 a.m., Thursday, August 10, 2017 at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Reverend Robert Jallas officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church.
