SPAULDING – Gail D. Moore, 56, of Spaulding died at 8:22 a.m. Sunday, May 10, 2009, at St. John’s Hospital.
She was born June 28, 1952, in Springfield, the daughter of Charles and Alpha Hornback Chambers. She married Michael Moore in March 2000.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Michael A. Moore; Michael’s children, Erik Moore of Oklahoma City and Heather Elizabeth (Rob) Lind of Riverton; four grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn (Sam) Myers of Chatham; two sisters-in-laws, Janice (John) Smith of Spaulding and Elizabeth (Donald) Marsh of Riverton; a brother-in-law, Gilbert Moore of Spaulding; and several uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gail lived in the Petersburg, Springfield and Riverton areas all of her life. She retired from working in plant assignment at SBC in 2000 and then worked at Sisters Hospital Health Systems as an administrative assistant.
She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and taking care of her golden retriever, Mariah.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Lewis officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Animal Protective League.
