Frank E. Parrish, 81, of Springfield, died at 10:05 pm on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at his home. He was born July 7, 1931 to Evertt and Violet Carver Parrish. He married Norma Antonacci July 27, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter and a grandson.
Surviving are his wife, Norma; 2 daughters, Kathryn (Jim) Sudduth and Lisa Parrish both of Springfield; 3 sons, Michael (Judy) Parrish, Keith Parrish and Jeffery Parrish all of Springfield; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one sister, Joan McCue of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Frank was a lifelong resident of Springfield. He belonged to Calvary Temple, VFW, Elks Club, and Knights of Columbus. He was very active in the Springfield Koury Baseball League. Frank served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was the owner of Parrish Carver Appliance Service. He loved being outdoors and gardening. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Visitation: 4:00-7:00 pm, Monday, June 3, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National
Cemetery where Sangamon County Interveterans will conduct military honors.
