Florence L. Mickle Yokley, 102, of Sherman, formerly of Williamsville and Hopedale, died at 4:35 a.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Villa Healthcare Center East in Sherman. She was born on April 19, 1909 in Delevan, IL to John and Mary Farmer Cogdal. Her first husband, C. Everett Mickle, whom she married in 1927, preceded her in death on April 7, 1972. She later married Ben M. Yokley in 1973 and he preceded her in death in 2008. Florence is also preceded in death by her son, Deane Mickle; two sisters, Elsie Sorensen and Gertrude Gilmore; a brother, Harry R. Cogdal; one grandson, Richard Treffinger and a step son, Robert Yokley.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce (Ted) Treffinger of Denver, CO; two step sons, Tom (Linda) Yokley of Williamsville and John (Gay) Yokley of Palmyra, WI; ten Grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Florence was a 70 year member of Williamsville United Methodist Church where she was formerly active as a quilter. After working as a teller for 30 years at Williamsville State Bank, Florence retired. She had also worked for the United States Postal Service for several years.
Visitation: 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Dick Piscatelli officiating.
Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Williamsville.
