Eva A. Atkinson

Eva A. Atkinson, 83, of Springfield, died at 12:30 am, Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Heritage Health Care. She was born July 29, 1934, in Springfield, to Carl and Edith Porter Lofquist. She married Thomas Atkinson in 1953 and he preceded her in death on December 23, 2004.

Survivors include three sisters, Dorothy (Donald) McGhiey, Mary Edstrom and Ethel Stephens all of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers and one sister.

Eva was a member of St. Cabrini Church. She worked at Mel-O-Cream for thirty years.

Memorial Mass: 10 am, Friday, September 8, 2017 at St Cabrini Church with Rev. Scott Thelander, SJC officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
