Eula L. Huffman, 95 of Springfield, passed away at 1:30 pm, Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Lewis memorial Christian village. She was born June 6, 1921, in Springfield to Clarence and Alice Isabel Hammond Fritsch. She married Claud A. Huffman on October 30, 1942, and he preceded her in death on February 4, 1979.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeannene (Howard) Edwards of Orlando, FL and Janice (Joe) Miller of St. Simons Island, GA; two sons, Gary (Susan) Huffman and Richard (Deborah) Huffman, both of Springfield; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and one brother, Dale (Donna) Fritsch of Paradise, CA.
To all who knew Eula, she was a loving and caring person, with the most important things in her life being her family and her faith.
Eula was a charter member of the First Church of the Nazarene and was devoted to the church her entire life.
After graduating from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1942, she worked as a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital and as an industrial nurse for Fiat Allis and Franklin Life Insurance Company. She with her husband Claud founded Huffman finance company and was active in the operation for over 30 years.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Friday, May 5, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Memorial Service: 11 am, Saturday, May 6, 2017, at First Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Fred Prince officiating. A private family burial will be at Rochester Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene.

It was a pleasure to have known Eula. She was a kindhearted woman. Our special memory with her was on a cruise to the Bahamas.
