SPRINGFIELD – Eudell Del LeVeque, 78, of Springfield died at his residence under Home Hospice Care at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2007.
He was born April 13, 1929, in Carlinville, the son of Frank and Rosa E. Hamer LeVeque. He married Dorothy Jean Tobin Bauer on Aug. 28, 1969. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. LeVeque, a resident of Springfield most of his life, worked for C&IM Railroad for many years and retired from Mutual of Omaha as an agent.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion 32 and VFW 755.
Surviving are his wife, Dotty LeVeque of Springfield; two sons, Craig (wife, Karen) LeVeque of Dyer, Ind., and Todd (wife, Michelle) LeVeque of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; a stepson, James Bauer of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Tiffany Pappas, Joshua LeVeque, Rhiannon LeVeque, Todd Eric LeVeque, Ryan LeVeque, Matthew LeVeque, Brandon LeVeque and Bradley LeVeque; two great-grandchildren, Mikos and Myles Pappas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, at Staab Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at Staab Funeral. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery, where the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County will conduct military honors.
