Emily M. Fullenwider, 102, of Riverton, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016, at Sunny Acres in Petersburg, IL. She was born February 12, 1914 in Springfield to Angelo and Sarafina Nadalini Tranquilli, and they preceded her in death. She married Anton (Tony) Butkis in 1936 and he preceded her in death in 1966. She later married John (Pat) Fullenwider in 1970 and he preceded her in death in 1992. Emily was also preceded in death by four brothers: Joseph, Eugene, Ethelo and Roland; two sisters: Mary Weber and Theresa Pescitelli and niece, Lucy Ann Hudson, and nephews, Eugene Tranquilli, Jr. and Norman (Scotty) Tranquilli.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews: Lynette Barnett, Anthony (Iris) Tranquilli, Tallulah Redeford, Ron (Young Soon) Tranquilli, Terrence (Janie) Tranquilli, and JoAnn (Nino) Giganti, many great and great-great nieces and nephews and her dear friend Connie Blisset.
Emily was a homemaker and member of St. James Church in Riverton. She owned Emily’s Country Antiques from 1966 until 2000.
Visitation: 10 – 11 am, Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at St. James Church in Riverton.
Funeral Mass: 11 am, Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at St. James Church in Riverton, IL. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Church in Riverton.
