SPRINGFIELD – Emily K. Gronau, 21, of Springfield, formerly of Pleasant Plains for most of her life, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 6, 1988, in Springfield, the daughter of Charles Gronau and Janice Kolis Gronau.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Norman and Norma Gronau.
Ms. Gronau worked at County Market in Chatham.
She was a member of St. Agnes Church. She enjoyed playing soccer and participating as a soccer referee. She enjoyed gardening, animals, kids and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her mother, Janice (fiance, Ricardo Segabiano) Gronau of Springfield; father, Charles Gronau of Springfield; grandparents, Joseph (Helen) Kolis of Springfield and Betty L. Justice and Richard Segabiano, both of Belleville; two sisters, Brittany and Cassie Gronau, both of Springfield; two brothers, Chip Gronau of Springfield and Ricky Segabiano of Twin Cities, Minn.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home. Funeral service and burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
