SPRINGFIELD, IL – Ellyn M. Call, 84, died at 6:00 am Thursday, February 26, 2015 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born August 9, 1930 in Springfield to Charles E. and Agnes (Lauterbach) Mullaney. She married David J. Call, Sr. on September 17, 1949 and he preceded her in death June 27, 1984. She was also preceded in death by two sons, David J. Call, Jr. and Patrick M. Call; a sister, Therese Mullaney and two brothers, Charles E. Mullaney, Jr. and James C. Mullaney.
Surviving are a daughter, Tess Hine of Springfield; two sons, Daniel (Claire) Call and Timothy (Barbara) Call, both of Springfield; six grandchildren, Jeff, Ben Jordan and David Call, Michelle Goldsby and Marty Hine; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Ellyn was a member of St. Agnes Church. She was President and charter member of the Illinois State and local La Femmes – Cabane 344, and the St. Louise deMarillac Guild. She was a homemaker most of her life but had worked for Thomas Publishers and China Gate.
Visitation: 4 – 7 pm Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 4pm.
Funeral Mass: 9:30 am Monday, March 2, 2015 at St. Agnes Church with Reverend Robert Jallas officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Sacred Heart Convent.
