Ellen E. Kloppenburg
BRADENTON, Fla. – Ellen E. Kloppenburg, 94, of Bradenton died at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Blake Hospital in Bradenton.
She was born Dec. 27, 1913, in Springfield,
the daughter of Thomas J. and Anna M. Nolan Murray. She married Lawrence J. Larry Kloppenburg on April 29, 1941; he preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1988.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and a son, Thomas A. Kloppenburg on Feb. 29, 1984.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann (husband, John) Ziemnicki of Bradenton; two granddaughters, Elizabeth A. and Andrea M. Ziemnicki, both of Bradenton; a great-granddaughter, Kara; a sister, Anna M. Shean of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a resident of Springfield until 1977, which is when she moved to Bradenton. She worked as a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bradenton and was formerly a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Springfield.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, with the Rev. John Nolan officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to masses or St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Homebound Ministry in Bradenton.
