SPRINGFIELD – Elizabeth J. Heintze, 87, of Springfield died at 6:43 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Oak Terrace.
She was born February 25, 1923, in Johnson County, IL, to Harry and Ruby Fisher Cummins. She married Fred R. Heintze on June 29, 1952.
Elizabeth had been a resident of Springfield since 1947. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She worked for the Secretary of State of Illinois Corporation Department and was a homemaker most of her life.
Survivors include her husband, Fred of Springfield; a son, Jerry (Barbara) Heintze of Tucson, AZ; a daughter, Peggy A. (Carl) Johnson of Springfield; 3 granddaughters, Monica Innis (Paul Jenchowski) of Normal, IL, Ellie Heintze of Seattle, WA and Elizabeth Johnson of Springfield; great-granddaughter Amber Jenchowski; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and 2 brothers Robert and Lindell Cummins preceded her in death.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 5, 2010, at Staab Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Staab Funeral Home, with Pastor Rick Bilyeu officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
