Eileen Marie Jerome, 79, of Sherman, died at 8:13 pm, Sunday, July 13, 2014 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born August 14, 1934 in Montrose, IL, to Lester and Clara Schwerdt Flood. She married Edward Jerome on September 25, 1954 and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2010.

She is survived by five sons, Mark (Pam) Jerome, of Atlanta, Ga, Mike Jerome of Sherman, Tom (Kelley) Jerome of Bartlett, TN, Robert (Aletha) Jerome of Sherman and Ron (Mindy) Jerome of Bartlett, IL; thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Emily, Eric, Richard, Megan, Joe, Jake, Justin, Jessica, Nathan, Matthew and Jack; five great grandchildren, Stephen, Kylie, Eddie, Ben and Dylan and soon-to-be, Annabelle Eileen; two sisters, her twin, Arlene (Clarence) Schutte of Robinson, and Ruth (Jerry) Butkowski of St. Cloud, MN, one brother, Lester Flood of Springfield, MO and Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her parents, husband and five brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Eileen was a member of St. John Vianney. She was a resident of Sherman most of her life and was a homemaker.

Visitation: 5-7 pm, Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 5 pm.

Funeral Mass: 9:30 am, Friday, July 18, 2014 at St. John Vianney with Monsignor David Lantz and Reverend Ralph Zetzl officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Vianney Church.
