Edna Mae Young, 86, of Springfield, died at 5:41 am, Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born November 24, 1928 in Springfield, to Floyd and Helen Cannedy Davis. She married Harry E. “Nudge” Young on September 6, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 7, 1998.
Survivors include two daughters Carolyn Vinson and Sandra Welling both of Springfield; two sons Charles “Bob” (Barbara) Young and James Young both of Springfield; eleven grandchildren; over twenty great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, William Lee and John Young and one sister, Dolores Yeck.
Edna Mae worked for Hobbs Corporation as an assembler, retiring in 1981. She loved to play BINGO.
Visitation: 5-7 pm, Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home, with additional visitation time at 9 am until time of services, Monday, September 21, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Monday, September 21, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Clint Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Condolences to you and your family. She was such a joy. We have lots of fond memories of her. Visiting with her and Harry when our children was young and seeing her every time we were in Springfield. She will be missed. Love, Don & June
