Edward Kent Bacon, Jr., 87, of Sherman, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022. He was born on January 20, 1935 in Cleveland, OH to E. Kent Bacon, Sr. and Elinor (Clapper) Bacon and they preceded him in death. He married Marilyn Schumann on June 14, 1958.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Carla (Mike) Smith of Bartlett and Barbara (Scot) Burneson of Williamsville, five grandchildren, Jocelyn (David) Gillaspie, Hayden Smith, Erin Burneson, Justin (Becca) Burneson, and Julie (Michael) Delaney, two great-grandchildren, Grace Gillaspie and Auden Delaney, one sister, Judy Rhodes of Westlake, OH and one brother, Bob (Jeanne) Bacon of Bay Village, OH and several nieces and nephews.

Kent was the Vice President of the Service Division of A.B. Dick Company. He attended Miami University and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science as well as being a serviceman in the Army National Guard. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Visitation: 9 – 10:30 am, Friday, June 3, 2022 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman.

Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Friday, June 3, 2022, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman with Reverend Matthew Schneider and Reverend James Stuenkel officiating.
