Dorothy M. "Dee" Ingram

Dorothy M. “Dee” Ingram, 87, of Williamsville, died Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 5:30 am at Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Springfield on January 14, 1928 to Everett A. and Susie M. (Robertson) Nation. She married John C. Ingram on September 1, 1946 and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1992.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, John C. Ingram, Jr., one daughter, Carol Jean Beal; one son in law, Ray Beal; four brothers, Leo Nation, Thomas W. Nation, James L. Nation and Howard L. Nation, and two sisters, Mary Eleanor Bender and Virginia Lee Renfro.

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy S. (Robert, Sr.) Trader of Williamsville; five grandchildren: Robert (fiancé Dawn Colvin) Trader Jr. of Springfield, Colleen (fiancé) Leo Ishmael) Trader of Williamsville, Johnny Ray (Peggy) Beal of Sherman, Lisa (Mark) Watson of Sherman and Lori (Tracy) Plumlee of Williamsville; fifteen great-grandchildren: Pamela (Joey) Whitnall, Thomas Trader and Nicole Colvin of Springfield, Dalton Trader and Jayde Ishmael of Williamsville, Anthony Ishmael of Waverly, Jonica Andrew and Kristian (Alexis) Sharp of Sherman, Dustin Watson of Springfield, Kelsie Watson of Sherman, Katelyn (fiancé Matt Connor) Watson of Springfield, Michelle Watson of Sherman, Danielle (Chris Anderson) Cleeton of O’Fallon, Rikki Cleeton and Mackenzie Cleeton of Williamsville; five great-great grandchildren; one sister, Neva Ann Walsh of Chatham and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a resident of Sherman most of her life but resided in Williamsville the past six years. She was a member of Sherman United Methodist Church and Eastern Star. She retired from the IL Secretary of State Index Department in 1991. Dorothy enjoyed watching Golden Girls, listening to Conway Twitty and playing Bingo. Family was one of the most important things to her and she enjoyed spending every moment she could with them. There wasn’t anything she would not do for any of them.

Visitation: 11 am -1 pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 1 pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Craig Sweet officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
