Dorothy A. Moore, 93, of Springfield, died at 3:28 pm, Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She was born January 28, 1920 in Jacksonville, to George and Ilah Ballou Menezes. She married Edward Moore on May 5, 1938 and he preceded her in death on December 23, 1996.
Her parents and two brothers also preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter Kathryn “Kate” I. (Bill) Tucker of Springfield; two sons, James E. (Barbara) Moore of FL and Thomas L. (Ann) Moore of NC; eight grandchildren with one due in June; twelve great grandchildren and her first great great grandchild due in May. Dorothy was a member of St. Aloysius Church. She was a resident of Springfield since 1931 and was a homemaker.
Visitation: 8-9 am, Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 9 am, Wednesday April 3, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
