SPRINGFIELD – Donna L. Hopkins, 66, of Springfield, died at 5:25 a.m, Friday, October 1, 2010 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born October 21, 1943 in Loami, IL, the daughter of Daniel and Evelyn Davis Eigemann. She married James L. Hoppy Hopkins on April 15, 1988. She is preceded in death by her parents; 1 step son: Randy Hopkins; 1 grandson: Jeffrey and 1 granddaughter: Misty Lynn.
She is survived by 1 daughter: Teresa Stark of Springfield; 2 sons: Bo (Companion: Amy Durham) Goveia and William (Kimberly) Goveia both of Springfield; 2 step sons: James (Mototi) Hopkins of McKinney, TX and Ron Hopkins of Tremont; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Patty (Jim) Huddleston of Spring Hill, FL, Sharon Wildschutz of Lakewood, FL and Karen (Kalman) Nemish of Albuquerque, NM; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donna was a member of Northside United Methodist Church and the Blue Ridge Club. She was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed watching TV and spending time with her grandchildren. She worked at Ducks Bar in Spaulding. Special thank you to granddaughter Katie for all the love and care.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m., Monday, October 4, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Kathleen Lossau officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
