Donna Jean Blankenship, 78, of Springfield, IL died at 11:15 am, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born September 27, 1938 in Lincoln, IL the daughter of Wendell G. and Lucille O. Wheeler.
Mrs. Blankenship retired in 2004 from Henson Robinson Company after thirty six years of service.
Donna enjoyed music, scrapbooking and crafts.
She was very active in her church, the First Church of God. She graduated from Lanphier High School in 1956.
She is survived by two sons, Michael (wife Laura) Bull and David Wilson both of Springfield, IL; three daughters, Linda Readicker of Monticello, AR, Cher (husband Joel) Whicker of Argenta, IL and Lisa (husband Eddie) Wilson-Maisonave, Longwood, FL; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Wendell and Charles Wheeler.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Friday, March 17, 2017 at First Church of God, with additional visitation from 2-3 pm, Saturday, March 18, 2017 at First Church of God.
Funeral Service: 3 pm, Saturday, March 18, 2017 at First Church of God, with Pastor Jay Kroft officiating.
A private burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Mom, it's 2 years later and feels like yesterday. What a hole has been left in my soul! Knowing you are with our Lord and Savior recieving every reward possible is what keeps me going each day. Mom, I love and miss you deeply.
