Donald “Pat” Drendel, 57 of Springfield, died at 8:48 pm, Monday January 16, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born January 11, 1960 in Springfield, to Virgil and Eileen Eddington Drendel. He married Maureen M. Moyer on October 11, 1986 and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter Jessica (Justin) Barney of Chatham; one son, Adam Drendel of Springfield; one grandson, Noah Barney; mother, Eileen Drendel of Sherman; two sisters, Theresa Wade-Day of Pleasant Plains and Kathy (Dennis) Rodems of Auburn; four brothers, Richard (Maria) Drendel of AL, Raymond (Carol) Drendel of Divernon, John Drendel of Springfield and Albert (Sue) Drendel of MD and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Henry Drendel.
Pat was a member of St. Aloysius Church and was Maintenance Supervisor for Capital Plaza Apartments for over thirty-five years.
He loved flea markets and garage sales and enjoyed being with his family especially, his new grandson.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Friday, January 20, 2017, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Reverend Clinton Honkomp, O.P., officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Pat, we went to schools together, worked in the fields together, hung out together, served on the alter together, worked at the high rise together for 20 years, got in trouble together.., hell every time I see a tool or field I'll remember you always. You're about as good as they come. Love you always, John.
