Donald, “Donnie” L. Miller, Jr., 59, of Chicago, died Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. He was born December 26, 1956 in Springfield, to Donald L. and Nadine Miller, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandmother, Iona Miller, aunt, Lou Miller and uncle, Dick Miller.
Survivors include his mother, Nadine Claybourn of Springfield; one daughter, Courtney (Brett) Butler of East Peoria; one son, Steve (Kellie) Miller of Sherman and their mother, Edie Miller of Carbondale, PA; one grandson, Luke Butler; two sisters, Connie (Kevin) Wilson of Elkhart and Traci (Steven) Sheppard of New Berlin; one brother, Gary (Marcia Kemp Sheppard) Claybourn of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donald was a US Army Veteran. He currently was employed by The Chicago Diner and formerly owned Miller’s Custom Fabrication in Springfield.
Visitation: 11 am – 1 pm, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 1 pm, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend John Nelson officiating. Burial will be at 10 am, Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Camp Butler National Cemetery where Military Honors will be conducted.

Donnie I can't believe your gone, its taken me a long time to do this i guess the shock of you being gone is so unreal, your were a big part of my life for 5 years, things happen but i will never forget the time we share, may you rest in peace my special friend.
