Donald “Don” E. Curtis, 87, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022. He was born in Springfield, IL on August 27, 1934 to Charles Curtis and Mary (Bowes) Curtis. He married Joette Rae Griffin on November 27, 1972 and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings.
He was a Springfield resident most of his life until moving to Edinburg in 2000. He was self-employed as a real estate invester and the owner of Don Curtis, LLC.
He served in the United States Navy from 1951 – 1955.
Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Horse Creek Cemetery, Pawnee, IL with Pastor G. Leroy Donathan officiating. Military honors will be conducted.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Breadline.
CDC protocol shall be followed.
