Dickie D. Breeding passed away at 5:30 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born October 16, 1934 in Quincy, Illinois to Roy N. and Iona A. Finney Breeding. He married and loved Joyce M. Creviston for over 55 years. She preceded him in death in 2009. Also preceding him in death were his father, Roy Breeding and mother, Iona A. Masters.
Dick attended several schools and the Washington Street Mission. He was of the Christian faith. He loved Joyce, motorcycles and racing. He could put anything with a motor together or take it apart. He liked to tinker and go to the junk yard. He seemed to always have a cold Pepsi, a little time to listen or talk and enjoyed a practical joke.
Survivors include one brother, Ben Breeding of Hull, IL; two sisters-in-law, Delores Creviston and Susan (Jim) Cousin; seven brothers-in-law, Jim (Pat) , Don (JoAnn), Herschel (Ladonna), Mel (Pat) and Dave Creviston, Steve (Chris) and Jeff (Rhonda) Rhodes and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation: 10a.m.-12p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 12 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor David Upchurch officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ben Breeding for purchase of a monument or you may do something nice for someone in Dickie’s memory.
