Diane Christy Johnson, 42, of Greenview, died at 6:50 am, Monday, March 26, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was born August 22, 1969 in Kankakee, to Michael Trusssel and Deanna Scott. She married Thomas E. Johnson on September 5, 2006 and he survives. Also surviving are her mother, Deanna Scott (Companion: Carl); one daughter Meghan Cooper (companion, Ryan Clouse) of Springfield; one step-daughter, Chelsea (Kyle) Bass of St. Louis, MO; one granddaughter Adeigha Clouse; one sister, Michelle (Jim) Sageser of Danville; one Brother, Bill (Carie) Trussel of Greenview; one step sister, Jessica Scott of Springfield; one step-brother, Curtis, (Tiffany) Scott of Girard; “adopted” brother, Ben Smith of Danville; several aunts and uncles; several nieces, and nephews including nieces Heather Sageser and Isabella Trussel and nephew, Mathew Trusssel and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Trussel and step father, Michael Scott.
Diane was a member of Greenview Christian Church; Leadership Springfield and for several years was on the United Way Volunteer Panel. She was a loving, caring and outgoing person very dedicated to her family and work. She looked forward to seeing her co workers daily at Illinois National Bank were she was employed as the Sr. Vice President of Deposit Operations.
The family wishes to express their appreciation for the care Diane received from the nurses and staff of Memorial Home Hospice.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Blake Canterbury.
