Delores I. Bergen

Delores I. Bergen, 89, of Springfield, died at 9:20 am, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Mary Lou’s Country Abode in Buffalo. She was born to Quince and Pearl (Reed) Ray on September 20, 1928 in Staunton. She married Wilbur E. Bergen on June 18, 1949 and he preceded her in death on February 27, 2007.

Also preceding her in death are her parents, one brother, and two sisters.

Survivors include one son, James Bergen of the Philippines; two grandchildren, Rebecca (Donnie Delong) Osterman and Robert (Mandy) Bergen; four great grandchildren, Alexis Bergen, Gavin, Abigail and Dillon Osterman and one brother, Burl (Gayle) Ray of Woodlands, TX.

Delores was a resident of Springfield for most of her life. She worked data entry for the State of Illinois until her retirement.

Visitation: 5:30-7:30 pm, Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home- Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11 am, Friday, March 23, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield with Pastor Brad Ferris officiating. Private burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Center of Springfield.
