Delmar “Loren”, Gross, III, 42, of Springfield, died at 11:28 pm, Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born July 23, 1973, in Decatur, to Delmar Loren and Gail Lockwood Gross, II. He married Jacqueline Willhite on November 13, 2009 and she survives.
Also surviving are one son Devin Tom of Springfield; father, Loren (Donna) Gross of Taylorville; mother, Gail (Edward) Anderson of Roanoke, VA; brothers and sisters, Matthew (Vicki) Schaal of Ramsey, Luke (Michelle) Schaal of Vandalia, Christi (Patrick) Grant of Taylorville, Shawne (Dwan) Gross of Divernon, Cody (Melissa) Patterson of Taylorville, Joshua Gross of Taylorville and Carrie (Vincent) Pop of Kincaid and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Loren was a US Navy Veteran and was a member of the NRA. He was a supervisor at Landmark Environmental for five years and previously was an electrician.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Friday, July 1, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where military honors will conducted.

Loren. The few times we were together were great. A kind giving spirit is how I would describe Loren. Thanks For The Ride Man! To the family. Thanks for sharing Loren with so many people. He was a good man. May God be with you all today, tomorrow, and forever. Until we all meet again.
