Daniel K. Staber, 54, of Springfield, died Friday, July 14, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born February 4, 1963 in Springfield to Walter, Jr. and Harriet (Miller) Staber.
Surviving are his mother, Harriet Staber of Springfield; wife, Kim Long Staber of Springfield; three children, Andrew Staber, Chloee Staber and Sam Staber, all of Springfield; five grandchildren, Gavyn Moreland, Landon Staber, Olivia Behl, Korbyn Staber, and Max Staber; one sister, Nancy Staber of Springfield; one brother, John Staber of Springfield; close friend, Angela Mohan of Springfield, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Staber, Jr. and his son, Zach Staber.
Daniel was a lifelong resident of Springfield. He worked as a driver for Donely Trucking, and previously for Pepperidge Farm and Eagles Grocery Store.
He enjoyed fishing, bowling, mushroom hunting, and spending time with his family and he never met a stranger.
Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Reverend Rodney A. Schwartz officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
