Cory Edward Norman, 28, of Springfield, died at 9:36 am, Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born February 4, 1982 in Springfield, Illinois to William and Lori Duncan Norman.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Survivors include the love of his life Angie Harbison of Springfield; father William E. Norman of Springfield; mother Lori (Glenn) Kasting of Medora, IL; sister Jami (Aaron) Riester of Girard; brother Jacob Parker of Springfield; several aunts including a very special aunt Susie, several uncles; 2 nephews; several cousins and his best friend, his German Shepherd, Sarge
Cory was a member of Real Life Church, the Blue Ridge Club and the coach of Pat’s Posse. He was a former Cub Scout and Boy Scout as well as a former journeyman welder and graduated from MTI. He was the owner/operator of Precision Lawn and Landscaping. He was an avid boater, motorcycle rider and camper. He enjoyed canoeing, traveling, fishing, hunting and watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Rams. Cory loved life and lived it to the fullest each and every day.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home.
