SPRINGFIELD – Clarence Duane Lambert, 78, of Springfield died at 9:53 a.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Jan. 2, 1932 in Springfield, the son of Clarence Gum and Esther C. Lattner Lambert. He married Rose Marie Rogers on Jan. 7, 1956.
He owned the Treasure Chest Gift Shop, a service station and managed a farm west of Springfield.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea, attended St. John’s Lutheran Church. He was an old car enthusiast and enjoyed motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, Kevin Duane Lambert and Eric Brian Lambert.
Survivors are his wife, Rose Marie Lambert of Springfield; 1 son, Jamie (wife, Robin) Lambert of Springfield; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home. Visitation also will be held from 12:30 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Busboom officiating.
Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery, where Sangamon County Interveterans Burial Detail will conduct military honors.
