SPRINGFIELD – Clara V. Bollinger, 80, of Springfield died at 12:09 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 26, 1929, in Salisbury, the daughter of Louis and Nina Hunt Miller Hinds. She married Keith Bollinger on Dec. 2, 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Bollinger, a resident of Springfield since 1932, worked for Sangamo Electric for 25 years and American Greeting Corp. as a merchandiser. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, Keith Bollinger; a daughter, Lynda (Jerome) Brownlee of Prairie Village, Kan.; two grandchildren, Carissa and J.J. Brownlee; a sister, Nellie Britz of Springfield; a brother, Louis (Betty) Hinds of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home and lie in state from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Darrell Debowey officiating. Burial will be in Salisbury Cemetery.
