Cheryl A. Sugent, 70, of Sherman, died at 3:10 pm, Friday, December 28, 2018, at her residence. She was born in Decatur to Byron Clifford Stilabower and Elizabeth (Miller) Stilabower, and they preceded her in death. She married Frank Sugent on August 27, 1988, and he survives.
She is also survived by her daughter, Stacey (Mike) Maruska Binegar of Cantrall and two grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan.
Cheryl was a member of First United Methodist Church. She worked for and retired from the Illinois Department on Aging. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, music, and playing the piano. She volunteered making blankets for Mini O’Beirne Crisis Center, playing the piano at the Villa and sewing for the Midwest Distribution Center.
Gathering: 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Monday, January 7, 2019 at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman.
Graveside Service: 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Chaplain Jan Costello officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church building fund or Midwest Mission Distribution Center.
