September 14, 1990 - January 19, 2016

Chase D. Grover, 25, of Ellensburg, WA, died on January 19, 2016 at Yakima Memorial Hospital in Yakima, WA, after a lifelong battle with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He was born September 14, 1990 in Springfield, IL to Dan Grover and Sandy Johnson.

He is survived by his parents, Sandy Johnson and Dan Grover of Springfield; two brothers, Shane (Andrea) Johnson of Plainfield, IL and Aaron Grover of Springfield; grandparents Joan Gehlbach of Nokomis; Nancy Johnson of Granite City and Lyle and Darlene Grover of Collinsville; three nieces; two nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Elmer Gehlbach.

Chase was an amazing artist and photographer. He was working towards his Masters’ of Fine Arts. He was greatly loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
He had big dreams and worked very hard to achieve them. His art has been featured in galleries, art shows and publications.

Visitation: 11 am – 1 pm, Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 1 pm, Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Gifford officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Art Association.
