Chad Arthur Matthew Langheim, 38, of Farmersville, died at 10:48 pm, on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born May 29, 1975 in Springfield, to William and Kathye Reese Langheim. He married Cherish Hart Langheim and she survives. He was preceded in death by a son Hunter Matthew Langheim.
Survivors include his wife Cherish Langheim; four daughters, Paige Madison, Morgan Nicole, Lakynn Rebecca, and Sophie Cherish Annette; parents William and Kathye Langheim, Sr. of Pawnee; one sister Rebecca (Josh) Adcock of Pawnee; two brothers William (Maria) Langheim, Jr. of Springfield; Reese Langheim of Chatham; several aunts and uncles; one niece Hanna, three nephews, Zack, Austin and Connor and several cousins.
Chad was a resident of Farmersville for six months formerly of Pawnee most of his life. He was Superintendent of Schools of Raymond. He was a former women’s and men’s basketball coach, was an avid Cubs, Illini and Bears fan. There was no bigger Elvis fan than he. Chad was very involved with being a coach and mentor to his children.
Visitation: 2 – 8 pm, Friday, May 9, 2014 at Raymond- Lincolnwood High School in Raymond, IL.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Springfield, IL with Rev. Dr. Bob Swickard officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Pawnee.
