Carolyn L. Burnett

December 28, 1933 - January 12, 2018

Carolyn L. Burnett, 84, passed away on January 12, 2018 at her home. She was born December 28, 1933, in Lincoln, the daughter of Thomas “Hack” and Velma Crawford Witham. She married Jack L. Burnett in 1954 and he preceded her in death on March 17, 2010.

Also preceding her in death are her parents, one brother, and four sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Joan Davis of Springfield; one son, Jeffrey Burnett of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one granddaughter, Samantha (Joshua) Goins of Virden; and three great- grandchildren, Ivy June, Hunter, and Gavin.

Carolyn retired from Franklin Life Insurance Company in 1993. She also enjoyed working at Proud Mary’s. Carolyn loved to bowl, was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs, and loved spending time with her great grandchildren.

Memorial Service: 12:00 pm, Tuesday, January 16, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
