Caroline Rebecca Mifflin, 28, of Springfield, died Friday morning, April 1, 2016 at her home. She was born November 17, 1987, in Springfield, the daughter of Mark and Marcia Mifflin.
Caroline was a devoted mother to her two sons, Aden and Carter. Also surviving are her parents; two brothers, Matthew (Abby) Mifflin and John Mifflin, both of Springfield; grandparents, John and Barbara Mifflin of Springfield; two nieces, Lily Walden and Grace Mifflin, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rebecca and Gerald Olson.
Caroline graduated from Springfield High School and received an Associate in Science Degree from Lincoln Land Community College. She worked as a CNA and was a Certified Medical Coder.
Caroline was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was an accomplished flutist and pianist, often sharing her musical gifts during worship. Caroline was a member of St. John’s Bells of Glory and Chancel Choir. She previously was a member of the Debbie Eddy Flute Choir.
Visitation: 3-7 pm, Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2477 West Washington St., Springfield, 62702.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Greg Busboom officiating.
Private burial will be held at a later date.
