Carole L. Besjak, 86, of Loami, died Saturday, June 23, 2018 at her home. She was born on October 11, 1931 in Springfield, to Paul and Helen (Corey) Forgas. She married Charles Besjak January 7, 1956 and he preceded her in death on December 4, 2015.

Survivors include three daughters, Charlene Frank of Springfield, Mary (Brett) Bolan of Centerville, OH, and Stacey (Neal) Malone of Springfield; three sons, Andrew Besjak of Loami, Joe (Cindy) Besjak of Auburn, and Charles (Jayne) Besjak of Watchung, NJ; Seventeen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Ed (Linda) Forgas of Chester and several nieces and nephews.
Carole worked as a registered nurse for the NICU department at St. John’s Hospital and retired in 1994.

She attended Blessed Sacrament Church. She participated in the Pana Prayer group and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

Visitation: 5 – 7 pm, Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. A prayer service will be held at 5 pm.

Funeral Mass: 10 am, Friday, June 29, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Church with Reverend Jeff Grant and Reverend James O’Shea officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Hospital NICU or Blessed Sacrament School.
