Carmen Matthew Dinardo, 68, of Springfield, formerly of Auburn, died at 12:41 pm, Sunday, July 3, 2016 at St. John’s Hospital surrounded by his two sons. He was born on May 27, 1948 in Springfield to Carmen Daniel and Drucilla Nunn Dinardo.
Survivors include two sons: Zach (Katy) Dinardo and Lance (Liz) Dinardo, both of Auburn; five grandchildren: Claudia, Chloe, Clayton, Sicily and Lucca; five siblings: Peb Brennan, Mary Dinardo, Joe Dinardo, Gene Dinardo and Angela Veach and one cousin, Chris Dinardo.
He was preceded in death by his father – Carmen Dinardo, mother – Drucilla Dodd, and five siblings: Ada Henn, Sam and Pete Dinardo, Santa Maria Janssen and Bernadette Davis.
He was a graduate of Auburn High School, was a US Air Force Veteran, and a carpenter by trade retiring from UIS in 2010.
Carmen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn.
