SPRINGFIELD, IL- Brian E. Burge, 50, of Springfield, died on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 1:40 AM. He was born on December 10, 1966 to Virgil Dean and Jeanette “Jan” (Plummer) Burge.

Survivors include one daughter, Morgan Burge (Eric Smith) of Taylorville; one soon to be granddaughter, Parker Smith; mother, Jeanette “Jan” Burge of Springfield; three sisters, Christina (Christopher) Jordan of Spaulding, Shawn (Michael) Aebel of Athens, and Amanda Burge of Springfield and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Dean Burge and one uncle, Buck Burge.

Brian resided in Springfield for most of his life. He graduated and played football for Riverton High School. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with his family.

Visitation: 4-7 PM, Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield. An additional visitation will be held from 12-1 PM, Friday, December 15, 2017 at Real Life Church in Springfield.

Funeral Service: 1 PM, Friday, December 15, 2017 at Real Life Church with Pastor Clint Cook and Pastor Calvin Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
