Brett Nathan Dixon, 62, of Springfield, died at 4:50 pm, Monday, May 24, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born December 26, 1958, in Springfield, to Frederick William and Ann E. Noble Dixon.
Survivors include his mother, Ann E. Dixon; one sister, Susan Dixon of HI; one brother John (Lisa) Dixon of Greenview; six nieces and nephews: Shalom Whitford, Aaron Whitford, Shamra (Tim) Kline, Jake (Katy) Dixon, Austin Dixon and Sam Dixon and four great nieces and nephews, Elijah Gleffe, Isaac Gleffe; Shawn Kline and Hazel Kline.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Brett was an avid Bears, Cubs and Illini Fan. He enjoyed collecting arrowheads, stoneware, bottles and hunting for mushrooms. His dog, Samantha, was his best friend.
He had worked for Stone Seed Farms for many years.

Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Levi Farar officiating.
Graveside Service: 2:30 pm, Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Hebron Cemetery in Brown County, IL.

Brett was my classmate from 3rd grade through 5th grade. I moved so much that I lost contact with him. I live in Indiana now but another classmate Mary Barlow still lives in Springfield. So very sorry to hear he had passed before we could meet again. He was such a cool guy in our class. Prayers for you and the family. ❤️❤️
